PICPA Bataan new set of officers sworn into office

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Bataan Chapter conducted its 1st General Membership Meeting and Induction of PICPA Bataan Chapter Officers, Directors, Committee Chairpersons & New Members for FY 2016-2017 last August 26, 2016 at the Mahogany Room, Loui’s Resort & Restaurant, this City.

PICPA National President, Mr Ramonito D. Pernato and PICPA Central Luzon Regional Director, Ms Maria Teresa C. Agustin were the inducting officers. They also gave updates on the issues and concerns regarding the accountancy profession. Ms. Nancy Mulles, Junior Regional Director and Ms. Flores Ilagan, Regional Government Sector Representative also graced the occasion.

President Pernato discussed the focus and direction of his leadership in upholding the theme, “Level Up” mainly on the following areas: 1. Continuing Professional Development; 2. Membership Service; 3. Community Service; 4. Organizational & Operational Efficiency of the Profession & Organization; and 5. Relationship with the Stakeholders. He further urged every member to level up to become the best world-class accountant.

The new set of Officers, Directors & Committee Chairpersons for FY 2016-2017 inducted into office are as follows: President – SUSETTE R. RESULTA;  Executive VP – ABEGAIL M. LOPEZ; VP for Membership – ALICIA R. MAGPANTAY; VP for Professional Development – JOEY S. GALLARDO; Secretary – BELEN C. ESTEBAN; Treasurer – EDMARIE B. GENOTIVA; Auditor – MARY JANE TANJUAN;  PRO- LORRAINE JOY M. WAYAWAY; Sectoral Representatives on Education  – OSCAR COSME; Commerce & Industry – ROXANNE I. DIONISIO; Government – EMERLINDA S. TALENTO; Public Practice – RALLEN F. GATDULA; Chairpersons for – Accountancy Week – GLENNIE ROSE O. SIASAT; Community Involvement – JENNY D. DASIG; COMELEC – NORA O. SIASAT; Sports Development – RONNIE DIZON

Chapter President Susette Resulta, in her acceptance speech, expressed her commitment to do her best in leading the Chapter towards an active participation in the National and Regional activities. She thanked everyone for the support and enjoined all the Members to help the officers in ensuring growth and development of the Chapter.

She added that the Chapter would work on the accreditation of the Chapter as provider of continuing professional development in the next few months. She also reported that the Chapter will be conducting the Accounting Quiz Bowl on September 3, 2016 where the winners will qualify for the Regional Accounting Quiz Bowl on September 10, 2016.
