Large crowd eagerly waited and witnessed on Friday night the Christmas lighting event in front of the Pilar municipal hall, the launching of Christmas ID and the unveiling of town’s Christmas motto “1Love 1Pilarian”, led by Mayor Charlie Pizarro.
Gov. Joet Garcia who participated in the event said the motto reflects the true essence of Christmas spirit which is giving, love, and family. Kids from 13 elementary schools presented a choreographed dance to the tune of the Christmas ID, sending cheers to the crowd. Pizarro said Pilar LGU is going the extra mile each year to produce catchy Christmas ID music.
Vice Mayor Ces Garcia echoed the real spirit of Christmas is giving, helping others, doing good, and love. “1Love 1Pilarian, yan po ang diwa ng ating Pasko; pagbibigayan, pagtulong sa kapwa, paggawa ng mabuti, at pagmamahalan”, said the vice mayor to the crowd. She gushed the festive Christmas decors at the municipal hall and surroundings capture the magic of the season bringing Yuletide cheers especially to kids. She said the Christmas lighting rekindles holiday spirit and spreads Yuletide joy. The governor also announced the distribution of Pamaskong Handog food packs one of these days.
