Placed under orange rainfall warning; Bataan is ready for any eventuality

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Gov. Albert Garcia this morning asked his constituents to take all necessary precautions after the weather agency placed Bataan under the orange rainfall warning. “Although there is no typhoon signal in Bataan, Typhoon Egay is strengthening the monsoon rains but we are ready to respond to any eventuality, “the governor said.

He said that he is in constant communication with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) that reported that there is no flooding in any area.

“Aside from disaster and rescue preparations in the 236 barangays, the PDRRMO is on alert,” Garcia said. “Ang ulan paminsan-minsan lumalakas pero humhinto at hindi tuloy-tuloy,” he said.

The governor said that the newly-launched Metro Bataan Development Authority is operational and ready to respond 24 hours a day to both man-made and natural calamities.
