“A Final Pre-Deployment Conference was held which was attended by officials from the National Organizing Council and our partners from Department of the Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Fire Protection, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Department of Health, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Office of Civil Defense, and Office for Transportation Security,” Santos added. A simulation exercise was held to test the security preparation, operational readiness, and resources of PNP.

Around 87 delegates are expected to attend the Workshop on Fiscal Management Through Transparency and Reforms and Senior Finance Officials’ Meeting from June 9-12. The APEC Finance Ministers’ Process this year is anchored on the Cebu Action Plan which is a roadmap proposed by the Philippines to make the Asia-Pacific region more inclusive and resilient in the years to come. It has four pillars namely financial integration, fiscal transparency and policy reform, financial resiliency, and infrastructure development and financing.
