Forest Ranger Joseph P. De Jesus was closely supervising the activity, making sure that PSA Bataan employees were observing the correct procedure as per NGP standards such as distance between plants and others. There were also DENR EOs to document the tree planting activity with the use of GEO Tag Technology.

The NGP is a six year forest rehabilitation program of the government which aims to grow 1.5 billion trees covering 1.5 million hectares nationwide by virtue of Executive Order No. 26. Now on its fourth year, it is PSA Bataan’s third time to join the program after participating in the same tree planting activities in September and October 2011.

The PSA, formerly known as the National Statistics Office (NSO) is the major statistical agency responsible in collecting, compiling, classifying, producing, publishing, and disseminating

general-purpose statistics as provided for in Commonwealth Act (CA) No. 591. Beyond that, PSA extends the commitment in undertaking activities that foster social responsibility and promote development and good governance of the employees

Earlier that day, PSA Staff underwent a Zumba physical fitness activity at the DENR Bagac Office, Binukawan, Bagac, Bataan before the start of the tree planting activity.

PSA-NSO Bataan Provincial Office is located at 3F Loren and Lorna Bldg. Tenejero, Balanga City, Bataan.
