The Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) recently held an orientation on barangay revenue raising powers and other tax concerns attended by the punong barangays, treasurers, and chairpersons for ways and means all over the province held at Lou-is Restaurant last November 22.
The orientation aims to provide the participants further knowledge on how a barangay can have its own source of income by having a barangay revenue code. Resource speaker, Ms. Precy Magsino emphasized that every barangay should have a barangay revenue code and if they have none they can coordinate with their respective Municipal Treasurer’s Office to create one.
Vice Governor Cristina Garcia graced the said orientation and commended all the barangay officials for their active participation in various trainings, workshops, and seminars provided for them.
The attendees were assured that the treasury office is always open to provide the necessary assistance that they need.
