A rare Philippine Serpent Eagle was found and rescued last Saturday, August 17 in a farm in Barangay Cataning, Balanga City

According to Mr. Lorenzo Dilig, he was busy in his farm when a dog caught his attention for it was running after the eagle, obviously too weak to fly. He immediately rescued the eagle and took it home.

This morning, August 19, Mr. Dilig turned over the Philippine Serpent Eagle to the Provincial Government and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) who in turn brought it to a veterinarian for check up prior to turning it over to the DENR.
