If it pushes through, commuters are expected to patronize the ferry boat service since its port will be located right inside the city proper making it highly accessible to commuters from the first and second districts of Bataan. Before, the ferry boat port was in Puting Buhangin, Orion town and in Lamao, Limay which are 10 to 22 kilometers away from this City.

Earlier, Gov. Abet S. Garcia revealed that an Australian ferry boat company who operates in the Visayan region is eyeing to ply the Bataan- Roxas Boulevard route via Manila Bay, that will make travel time from Bataan to Manila  30 minutes only. Bataan is approximately 22 miles away from Manila.

Garcia said the ferry boat is a superfast sea craft that can travel for about 30 to 40 minutes only from Bataan to Roxas Blvd., Manila. “Just imagine, you can reach Manila in less than one hour and you can even bring your cars with you since this is a Roll on, Roll off (RoRo) boat,” pointed out the young governor.

The governor expressed optimism that the RoRo ferry boat service will be patronized by Bataenos for they can bring their cars and other vehicles to Metro Manila without enduring the hassle of monstrous traffic jams and gasoline expenses. “Hindi ka na mata trapik, ginhawa at makakarating ka pa on time sa Manila na dala-dala mo yong kotse o van mo,” said the bachelor governor.
