Bataan First District Representative Geraldine B. Roman has allocated P3 million worth of scholarship grants to Bataeños under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) for this year.

Recently, Congresswoman Roman attended the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority or TESDA Training Induction Program/Orientation together with scholars for Bread Making and Cake Making (Leading to Bread and Pastry Production NC II) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding at the Eastwoods College of Science and Technology in Dinalupihan, Bataan.

STEP is a community-based specialty training program that addresses the specific skills needs of the communities and promote employment, particularly through entrepreneurial, self-employment and service-oriented activities.

Congresswoman Roman, according to TESDA Bataan, has been very supportive to their programs, by providing budget allocations for the Agency’s scholarship program for the past years since the time of her mother, former Congresswoman now SBMA Directress, Herminia Roman.
