ORANI, Bataan – The Rotary Club of Orani, in partnership with the Rotary International District 3790, and the Jollibee Foundation formally launched last Friday, August 1 its 6-Month Intensive Feeding Program at the Paraiso Elementary School, this town.
This laudable endeavor specifically targets underweight grades 1 and 2 students by providing one hot meal, vitamins and routine checkups for 120 feeding days.
Children will be brought by their parents or guardians at the assigned feeding center all throughout the feeding period.
On their end, parents and guardians as counterparts will be tapped in managing the feeding proper wherein they will do the marketing, cooking and feeding of the children-beneficiaries.
Being an “Intensive” supplementary feeding program, it will not only feed the children-beneficiaries, but will also conduct classes for the mothers and parenting seminars, an approach taken with the end-view of delivering a total parenting package.
