SBMA’s P530M road rehab program underway

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – True to their promotional campaign at the
recently concluded Subic- Clark roadshow, SBMA Administrator and Chairperson, Atty. Wilma Eisma said that they have now started the P530 M
road program and other infrastructure road repair and other related facilities.
Administrator Eisma said that more projects are underway to improve the core business to sustain the attractiveness of the Subic Bay as a globally- competitive trade and tourism center.
Eisma added that the road rehabilitation projects are funded under the National government’s Build, Build, Build program, the first massive road rehabilitation program ever undertaken since Subic became a Freeport zone
in 1992.
Eisma said the agency was able to first secure from the National Government a P500 M fund for the Subic Bay International airport (SBIA) rehabilitation
program in 2016 and was followed in 2018 by a P530M fund for road rehabilitation.
The road rehabilitation package according to Atty. Eisma includes improvement at the Malawaan Park parking area, road ramp along Dewey Ave., repair of waterfront road to the new container terminal, Rizal highway, Maritan highway and several roads in residential areas.
