Solon, foundation distribute school supplies to Bataan students

BALANGA CITY – Bataan mayors Gene M. Dela Fuente (Samal) and Gab Del Rosario (Bagac) yesterday (July 4) personally assisted Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party List Representative Jerico B. Nograles in the distribution of school supplies in their respective towns.

In Samal town, 450 students received the donation under the “Handog sa Kabataang Samaleño Program in partnership with Congressman Nograles and the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation Inc. held at the Samal Covered Court.

In Bagac, Mayor Del Rosario joined the distribution of bags rendered by Cong. “Koko” Nograles to the students of Bagac Central Elementary School located in Barangay Tabing Ilog.  

The PBA Party List’s Vision is to champion the Filipino athlete and artist and serve as an instrumental force in nation building by empowering the Filipino youth through sports, culture and recreation.

Cong. Nograles said that part of their mission is the creation of the Department of Sports, Culture and Recreation to ensure appropriate and sustainable support for our athletes and artists.

He added that they also aim to be responsive to the interests of Filipino athletes and artists by advocating reform and development through legislation.

“We will focus on the discovery, development and deployment of Filipino talents with a special focus on engaging the Filipino youth through the creation of the Philippine Sports and Culture Academy. We will strengthen our national pride and identity by developing and promoting our local heritage sites and our unique cultural personality in arts, athletics and recreation,” the solon said.
