SSS membership in Bataan expands

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Social Security System (SSS) membership is fast expanding in Bataan. Job order employees of the provincial and city government, tricycle operators and drivers, inmates at the Bataan District Jail, barangay officials and residents of  some barangays of this city, vendors at the Limay public market and members of the Villa Lina Homeowners Association are now members of the SSS, through the extra hard work exerted by the officials of SSS Balanga Branch headed by Branch Head Elizabeth Garcia, to reach out to the different sectors in the province.

Balanga Assistant Branch Head Jordan Herrera introduced SSS to job order employees of the provincial capitol and Balanga City government, and inmates. Marissa V. Lamira CEO II, Accounts Management Section, initiated the AlkanSSSya program in Barangays Cabog-Cabog, Tanato, and Dangcol Balanga City; and Pilar and Limay towns.

Under the program, members can save every day using the improvised alkansya to complete the SSS premium for a month. With patience and determination, the two SSS officers were able to convince government officials and leaders of associations to tie up with SSS. In attracting new members, they explained that their SSS premiums can also be considered as an investment on the part of the members.

Radyo Balita aired from 9am to 10am, Mondays to Saturdays at the city-based 98.3 FM Smile Radio is a partner of SSS Balanga in information dissemination.
