TESDA grants P500,000 for training program in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has granted P500,000 to TESDA Bataan to implement Training for Work Scholarships Program.

Secretary Joel Villanueva, TESDA director-general, approved the grant through a skills training program proposal submitted by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Teri Onor. This is part of Sec Joel Villanueva’s program to increase access to technical vocational education and training for employment, TESDA provincial director Grace Castillo said.

“Thank you to TESDA for this will greatly help my constituents in the province first district in attaining new skills to augment their livelihood,” Onor said.

Applicants will be trained on Housekeeping NC II and Cookery NC II at the Microcity Computer College and Consumer Electronics Servicing NC II at the Eastwoods Professional College of Science and Technology, both located in Balanga City. Those from the first district interested in the training are invited to report to the Office of Board Member Onor at the Bataan Capitol for screening.
