BALANGA CITY, Bataan – To further accommodate those who want to get training, the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Provincial Training Center (PTC) Orion is offering night courses.
“There are people who have jobs or undertakings during daytime wanting to get training from TESDA. The night program is for them”, said Fronnie Torres, PTC Orion center administrator. “What we offer at night are short courses”, he added.
Marc Fuerte, TESDA specialist, said they are currently offering shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) for their night program. “We have already offered many night courses”, he added.
Torres urged the public to avail of their night program if they are really interested to learn skills but cannot do it during daytime. “Just go to our provincial office in Balanga City or to our training center in Brgy. Wawa, Orion for inquires on our available courses”, he messaged the public.
He also announced that TESDA, through Director General Joel Villanueva is offering scholarship programs. “They can also ask LGUs and the Offices of the Representative in the province for the scholarship program”, he added.
The province of Bataan recently received P.5 million training grant from TESDA.
