“The Iskolar ng Bataan program will continue to help Bataan students get education”, she was quoted saying.

Before becoming vice governor less than a year ago, Garcia was the coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan program. She held the position ever since the hatching of the scholarship program in 2005. She now serves as adviser to the program.

The Iskolar ng Bataan program was launched by the late governor Tet Garcia and then congressman Gov. Abet Garcia, and has benefited thousands of Bataan students.
