A former Olongapo City mayor is profoundly conscious of the methodical impact of the on-going upgrading of Roman Expressway and port depot services as foremost approaches on the way to eco-industrial growth of the historic peninsula.
Former Mayor Rolen C. Paulino based his observation on the logical reflection centered on the significant role of Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia of constructively pursuing highly reliable road network connectivity scheme and port facilities to strengthen the investment posture and operation of manufacturing plants and efficient delivery of goods and services intended for the swelling global markets.
In an interview the other day with ex-Mayor Paulino, he described the presence of excellent infrastructure system as outstanding mechanism for a workable and comprehensive development program of three progressive economic zones in Central Luzon namely Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Clark Economic Zone and Freeport Area of Bataan .
Emphasizing the great potentials of ecozones in the Western Central Luzon areas, the former Olongapo City mayor said those industrial zones are well-positioned to become the country’s manufacturing hub in few years with the entry of more foreign locators in the strategic places of the country.
He mentioned an effective marketing project of Bataan Governor Garcia of sponsoring economic investment team abroad with innovative expositions of substantial fiscal and non-fiscal incentives and highly commendable investment frameworks have motivated local and foreign locators to finance in the business-friendly atmosphere sites of geographically located special economic zones in Bataan.
The availability of new industrial spaces, public works , infrastructure projects and other world-class export services that would make those ecozones more attractive for manufacturing companies to the listed industrial estates in Region 3.
The continuous plan of the national government to decongest Metro Manila of industrial and manufacturing firms positively opens the good business opportunities for the provinces in Central Luzon.
