Amidst the pandemic, local government units, malls and flower shops are making waves on how this romantic occasion can be celebrated and enjoyed even in a simple way.

So as not to dampen the celebration because of the pandemic, Balanga City decided to continue its tradition of displaying heart-shape lights at the Plaza Mayor de Balanga, to attract people and to enjoy the night by simply staring at the lights, or taking photos of themselves.

SM Central Olongapo dazzles their customers by converting a regular pedestrian walkway into a tunnel of heart-shape lights made from recycled materials, where they can do photo-shoots, a selfie with their valentine dates, family or friends. They can also grab a snack from the different stalls placed along the tunnel and enjoy a budget-saving treat.

SM Central placed an exciting area to seal one’s love for their partner at their “lock in love” by affixing love padlocks at their heart-shaped fence, a unique way to express one’s love aside from the typical chocolates and flowers.
