BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Peninsula Tour Guides, Leslie R. Jorge and Juliet Allegra A. Blanas joined fellow faculty researchers of Bataan Peninsula State University Main Campus; Irene Gina Cruz, Josefino Langas, Maria Andrea S. Sundiam and Research, Extension & Training Chairperson, Eduardo S. Tinao in the 1st Regional Research Conference 2018 held at the Tarlac State University last October 4-5, 2018.
The two day conference was composed of two plenary sessions with Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III Director, Dr. Caridad O. Abuan and Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges President, Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo respectively.
The BPSU delegation presented their completed researches on three different forums under the Science & Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Management Business and Economics and Social Science, Humanities and Education.
According to Dr. Jorge, the conference provided a forum to share a myriad of ideas, findings and experiences among researchers from Region III. It was a good opportunity to establish collaboration and initiate network building that could possibly produce relevant, excellent and transformative research endeavors.
Indeed, with the Bataan Peninsula State University’s efforts to participate in scholar-led colloquiums is contributory to the attainment of City of Balanga’s vision to be a University Town by 2020.
