Bataan celebrates 116th Philippine Independence Day

BATAAN CAPITOL — Local officials and employees here the other day warmly celebrated the 116th anniversary of Philippine Independence in front of the Capitol building. During the flag raising ceremony, Bataan Police Director, Senior Supt. Audie Atienza led the Panunumpa sa Watawat  after the 305th Battalion of the Philippine Army’s parade of colors marched in to the capitol grounds.   

Vice Governor Efren Pascual, Jr. in his brief speech tackled the colors of the Philippine flag and its significance to the country’s history.

Balangeños celebrate Kalayaan 2014

   Hundreds of Balanga City employees and citizens are currently parading around the city center in a pre-Independence Day celebration.
