Balangeños celebrate Kalayaan 2014

   Hundreds of Balanga City employees and citizens are currently parading around the city center in a pre-Independence Day celebration. Dubbed “Kalayaan 2014”, the celebration started with a parade from St. Joseph Cathedral to the city plaza and will culminate with a ceremonial flag display and release of white doves, butterflies and balloons. Participants include city officials, barangay captains, provincial and city government employees, national government agencies, teachers and students among others.
