BALANGA CITY, Bataan-A total of 229,000 , some of whom were foreigners and came from Metro Manila and Northern Luzon, visited this fast emerging economic Component City last year.
Meanwhile, the Balanga City Tourism Office has expressed optimism that it could surpass its P400,000 income last year for tourism.
This was stated by Lolit Del Rosario, assistant city tourism officer, during a recent ” Balitang Bataan” who said that the various tourism programs such as “Ibong dayo” among others initiated by Mayor Joet S Garcia will certainly attract more visitors to come here.
Del Rosario added that the 229,000 visitors recorded in 2013 were mostly composed of students from Metro Manila and other provinces.
Balanga is only 30 minutes drive away from SBMA and 40 minutes away from Clark.
