BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The implementation of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) goes beyond giving cash incentives to the 17,088 households but rather as a valuable stimulating factor for the beneficiaries to do their best for the quality education and good health of their children.
Mrs. Cindy Pineda, social welfare officer lll of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) told Power Radio 104.5 FM the innovative program has provided better socio-economic parameters to those who have less in life seeking brighter future for their children, in terms of academic excellence and financial stability, when they grow up to become responsible citizens.
Pineda cited Mrs. Julia Concepcion from the coastal village of Sibacan, this City, one of the successful beneficiaries of the program and a mother of four with her eldest who just graduated from the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) now employed in a private firm in Makati City as an office administrator and another child as an Iskolar ng Bataan in the local state university.
Concepcion said the program if properly handled by the beneficiaries is a major key to overcome poverty. She explained the recipients should show their gratitude to the taxpaying public for this special gift of a lifetime by working harder to surpass the challenges of the government for them to have productive and respectable economic status in life.
