MORONG, Bataan – A total of 50 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) attended a training on fish processing using the resources available in the area such as fruits, vegetables, marine and meat products as part of this municipality’s livelihood program, last December 9.

“Nag-conduct muna kami ng Social Welfare Indicator sa mga beneficiaries ng 4Ps tapos lumabas dun sa result na marami sa kanila ay lacking in skills, kaya nag-come up kami ng skills training. Nag-tie up kami sa pondo na meron ang SSF o Shared Service Facility at sa Morong Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MMPC),” said Ms. Yolanda Manalo, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer of Morong, Bataan.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ana Marie Santos, general manager of MMPC, said that she is looking forward that, the participants will not only bring home what they have made but also use them to start a business.

Ms. Agnes Gurbuxani from the office of the provincial agriculturist served as the trainor of the event.

Ms. Maria Teresa Alagon, BUB Focal Person, said that one of the thrusts of the local government is to help the people by giving them livelihood trainings.

“Nag-enjoy talaga ako at ang dami kong natutunan, malaking tulong ito para sa aming mga 4Ps beneficiaries,” said Ms. Jenny Medina, one of the participants.
