BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A retired Australian Defense Industry (ADI) electrical technician has acknowledged the current political leadership for initiating a long-term comprehensive development program that would induce the creation of a feasible and profitable investment site for this fast growing city in Central Luzon.
Noel Quiroz, of Barangay Burgos, Pilar was amazed when he saw the Castillan landscape of downtown Balanga, filled with sprawling shopping center, hotel and fast foods all intended for the convenience of the residents and visitors.
Quiroz, who was once employed as a journeyman of the ship repair facility (SRF) of the American Naval Base in Subic Bay said the rapid conversion of Balanga from a sleepy town to a progressive urbanized city is the outcome of a judicious, conscientious and strategic planning of Bataan’s 2nd District Representative Enrique Garcia, Jr; Governor Albert Garcia and Mayor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III for the good of Bataan residents.
He stressed, as the city is briskly expanding as the commercial and educational center of the province, the local officials, however, should undertake broad preparation focusing on the problem of traffic congestion, construction of road network and other amenities for the growing populace.
The impressive performance of the local officials of continuously finding productive and suitable programs of alleviating the plight of the residents especially in the upland and coastal areas, are both commendable and advantageous, Quiroz added.
He likewise expects the local officials to also institute programs which would further improve the livelihood of the farmers and fisher folks alike with the implementation of effective extension services, as the majority of the residents’ revenues come from the rich fishing grounds of Manila Bay and West Philippine Sea and from agricultural products.
