ORANI, Bataan – Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA), General Manager Charlie Pizarro was beaming with pride as he announced last Thursday during the Peace and Order Council meeting presided by Gov. Abet Garcia held at the 1Bataan Command Center, this town that Bataan is the second province to be included in the National Emergency Hotline (911).
Through this, according to Pizarro, the vision of the province of a “911 Bataan” will now be a reality wherein every constituent will have quick access to emergency service, law enforcement and fire fighters.
The 1Bataan Command Center will be the receiving party when one calls “911 Bataan” within the province, as it will now be integrated at the command center maximizing all the ICT equipment in the delivery of the province-wide service.
The “911 Bataan” will be an added feature according to Pizarro, in the average response time of MBDA, which as of now is 8-10 minutes at any point within the Roman Expressway. He (Pizarro) believes that with the establishment of the “911 Bataan” this will even shorten the response period, thereby saving more lives in cases of accidents and properties in terms of fire.
The average 8-10 minutes response time, GM Charlie stressed, is already at par with the International Standard.
