Abucay unveils new wave of infrastructure projects

Mayor Erik Martel announced a new batch of upcoming infrastructure projects in Abucay as part of the local government’s continuing efforts to improve public services, strengthen the economy, and address the needs of residents.

 

Among the priority projects are the construction of slope protection in Barangay Salian, disposal cell closure and rehabilitation in Barangay Capitangan, and municipal hall roofing and ceiling rehabilitation in Barangay Calaylayan. The town government also listed the development of an ecological center in Barangay Capitangan and the Phase 1 construction of an access road in Barangay Wawa.

 

Additional projects include the installation of solar-powered streetlights in Kabyawan, Barangay Laon, regular streetlights along L. Dela Fuente Street in Barangay Salian, and improvements to the municipal dog pound in Barangay Capitangan.

 

Martel said the projects are the result of careful planning and the proper use of public funds. He added that these initiatives aim to raise the quality of government services while creating opportunities for local economic activity.

 

The mayor assured residents that the administration’s work will not stop with the listed projects, saying the municipal government continues to seek solutions to the town’s challenges in pursuit of a more progressive, inclusive, and better future for all Abukeños.
