BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia has appointed the former head of the Office of Legal Services as chief of the newly-created Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and Investment Center to hasten the implementation of eco-industrial strategic development plans in the local government sectors.
Governor Garcia named Lawyer Aurelio Angeles, Jr. whose legal expertise would facilitate envisioned projects and undertake comprehensive analysis of the best options under the Public-Private Partnership for the people mode of scheme for financing and procurements systems.
For more productive development procedures, the PPP and Investment Center concept of a contractual arrangement between government and a private entity of long term nature allowing investment opportunities for better public services.
The Governor said the with the national government programs particularly intended to decongest Metro Manila, the province would be directly benefitted with the enormous opportunities providing the local government units in implementing projects by way of PPP method.
He reiterated the new office would surely provide top level management insights and valuable investment prospects under the PPP program in the local level, link local governments with potential infrastructure and institutional projects and strategically identify priority local projects.
The PPP and Investment Center is initially readying schematic descriptions on infrastructure in the pipeline including integrated waste management facility, lease property for industrial development, Bataan–Manila integrated transportation system improvement of health services, education facilities and other worthy projects which wound assure socio-economic progress of the historic peninsula.
