NGCP readies contingency plan for the May 13 polls

HERMOSA, Bataan – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is readying contingency plan to avert power outage in the coming May 13 elections in Bataan as well as in the neighboring provinces in Central Luzon.
In his media briefing on Monday, Napoleon Viterbo, District 5 senior manager of NGCP office in Hermosa town, said contingency plans are now ready for any eventuality to protect the integrity of election.
He said activation of command and control centers will be implemented and logistics are being readied to meet emergency needs from May 12 to 14 or after the election, if necessary.
The NGCP, Viterbo said, will ensure readiness of aircraft and aviation fuel, heavy equipment as well as transmission line crew and power system maintenance personnel.
