‘The Balangay’ opens

Governor Abet Garcia was named as the adopted son of Barangay San Carlos during the inauguration of their new government building dubbed as ‘The Balangay’ which will house various barangay offices namely punong barangay office, Vicente Mier situation room, Rafael Zalavarria Sanchez session hall, Governor Enrique T. Garcia Jr. Function Hall and barangay tanod quarters yesterday, November 4.

Punong Barangay Jester Ivan Ricafrente said that the ‘Balangay’ represents the ship that will lead its people to prosperity when they paddle towards the same direction which aims for progress and is also where the term ‘Barangay’ was taken.

Governor Garcia was joined by Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman Emmanuel Pineda and Mariveles Mayor Jocelyn Castañeda. Congressman Joet Garcia sent his congratulatory message through a video recording.
