Bataan Capitol employees practice financial responsibility

“The goal in life is not to pursue financial stability but to practice financial responsibility,” said Mr. Chinkee Tan, a motivational speaker and finance expert, during the Financial Literacy Seminar for Bataan Capitol employees held at Lou-is Restaurant last November 20.

More popularly known as Mr. Chink Positive because of his habit of highlighting the importance of having a positive mindset in handling money and planning finances, Mr. Tan’s enthusiasm engaged the employees to listen to his lecture and buy his book who also accommodated autograph signing and photo ops with the participants.

Also in attendance were Provincial Administrator Ms. Ludivina Banzon who gave the welcome remarks and Vice Governor Ma. Cristina Garcia who shared her personal experiences on saving and her own piggy bank. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Bank Officer II Ma. Lourdes Laconsay also gave a talk regarding the technicalities of money and currency.

Said seminar is a joint initiative of the Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB), Capitol Employees of Bataan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CEmBa MPC) and Bankers’ Club of Bataan. Closing the event was CEMBA Chairman Engr. Godofredo O. De Guzman.
