Bataan business group opens new office

   BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (BACCII) led by its president Amanda Battad inaugurated Friday morning its new office located at the Capitol compound beside the Bataan People’s Center in this component city.

   The office was provided by the provincial government of Bataan.

   Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, Balanga City Mayor Joet Garcia and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Region 3) Director Judith Angeles led the formal opening.

   Angeles lauded the partnership and cooperation of DTI-Bataan, BACCII and the local government.

   Also present in the inauguration were DTI-Bataan Director Nelin Cabahug, DOST-Bataan Director Rosalie Ona.

   During the event, BACCII received P1.6 million worth of food processing and packaging equipments from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) under its Share Service Facility (SSF) program.

   BACCII is the first chamber of commerce in the region to be awarded with an SSF project.

   Governor Garcia personally tested the can sealing machine to demonstrate to BACCII visitors and reporters how it functions.

   He said the program will help BACCII improve its products for a wider market.

   The machines given include bottle capping machin, stand up pouch, filling machine with sealer chamber, vaccuum packaging machine and can sealer.
