BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Ms. Myle Alexis Reyes of Dinalupihan, the fairest of the 12 candidates from the 11 towns and one city in the province was crowned as Miss Bataan 2014 at the Bataan People’s Center in this City, last night.
The 21-year old talented lady is a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management graduate from the Philippine Women’s University-Bataan.
Miss Samal, Sheila Marie Siasat is first runner-up; followed by Ms. Elle Hollman of Mariveles as second runner up, Ms Charisse Marie Sisperes of Bagac is third runner-up, and Jaila Eunice Ragindin of Orani is fourth runner-up.
Earlier, Miss Dinalupihan was chosen as Best in Evening Gown, Miss Mariveles was Best in Swimsuit, Miss Bagac was Miss Talent and Miss Samal was Best in Filipiniana.
Clad in Filipiniana outfits, the candidates introduced themselves before parading in swimsuits and later in simple yet elegant evening gowns designed by noted fashion designers from the province.
It was a night of romantic songs and music, dances and thunderous cheers from supporters of each candidate. The mayors together with their spouses were on hand to give support to their respective candidates.
The five finalists answered questions from noted jurors composed of former beauty queens, top politicians and pageant professionals.
The presence of Ms. Monique Teruelle Manuel, Miss Earth Eco-Tourism 2014 and Miss Bataan 2011 Ms. Rose Ann Razon, added color to the beautiful night. Manuel and Razon are both from Dinalupihan.
The pageant is a project of the Bataan Peninsula Tourism Foundation, Inc. chaired by Mrs. Vicky Garcia in cooperation with the Provincial Government headed by Governor Abet S. Garcia.
