The Provincial Government of Bataan, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), gathered day care workers, parents, and children for this year’s Provincial Children’s Congress, held on November 19, 2025, at Louis Resort and Restaurant in Balanga City.
In attendance were Board Members Margarita A. Roque, Jomar Gaza, and Mylene Serrano; Mr. Christopher M. Galgo, OIC Chief of the Social Welfare and Development Division; Ms. Aileen D. Enriquez, Early Child Care and Development (ECCD) Provincial Focal Person; the 12 Municipal/City Social Welfare and Development Officers of Bataan; day care workers, children and parents.
As part of the nationwide observance of National Children’s Month, the Congress emphasizes the important role of children in the family and in nation-building. This year’s theme, “OSAEC CSAEM Wakasan, Kaligtasan ng Bata, Ipaglaban,” calls for the protection of children from all forms of abuse and exploitation, including online sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation materials.
The Children’s Congress serves as a platform to foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression among young participants. Through solo poem recitals, singing competitions, and cheer dance performances, children were given the opportunity to showcase their talents and be recognized for their abilities.
As Bataan continues to prioritize child protection and development, the Provincial Children’s Congress stands as a testament to the province’s commitment to nurturing young Bataeños and safeguarding their rights, well-being, and future.
