This component city and the only land-locked town of Dinalupihan in Bataan province were declared under a state of calamity.
Balanga City’s 12 low lying villages were under 4 feet to six feet of water following continuous rainfall since Thursday.
Rollie Rojas, municipal administrator of Dinalupihan, said the Sangguniang Bayan passed a resolution on Thursday declaring a state of calamity since last Thursday.
He said 26 barangays out of 46 are submerged in floodwaters thereby affecting economic activities of residents.
“Despite the inclement weather, vaccination activities shall continue to inoculate the willing residents including the senior citizens ” Rojas said.
