BALANGA City, Bataan- The Balanga City Post Office in Bataan on Wednesday announced that it will be accepting on Thursday flowers from postal patrons for delivery to their loved ones on the same day.
City Postmaster Godofredo Roman said this is a program in all big post offices in the country of the Philippine Postal Corporation under Postmaster-General Josefina dela Cruz as a way of celebrating Valentine.
“Ang mga bulaklak na ipapadala sa Huwebes ay idedeliver din sa nasabing araw, ganoon din ang mga bulaklak na ipapadala sa Araw ng mga Puso ay matatanggap din sa araw na iyon ng kanilang mahal sa buhay,” the postmaster said.
The post office charges P30 as delivery fee. The postal patron can bring with them their own flowers or they can ask from the Balanga City Post Office a well-arranged rose at P150 a piece.
Roman said they were advised of the project only last Monday. “Kung mag-klik, next year bobongga kami,” said the postmaster who is an expert in flower arrangement.
The exterior and interior of the post office is filled with fresh plants and flowers. Postal workers were seen busy attending to the mails.
“Say it with flowers – You send it, we deliver,” says the slogan of the Philpost in Balanga in heart-shaped paper.
