The Balanga City government has already distributed P17,549,000 worth of “ayuda intended for local residents affected by the last enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) status.

Joselito Evangelista, city treasurer, said distribution has already covered 13 barangays out of 25. The city government received a total of P83,339,000 for distribution to residents badly affected by the recent lockdown.

Distribution woes, however, did not escape the effort of the city treasurer’s office. Evangelista said there are instances when some recipients did not have valid ID. “Dito pumapasok ang certification from barangay,” he said. Sometimes recipients could not get their “ayuda” because they are on quarantine.
Orion town Mayor Antonio Raymundo says the problem now looms on how to please all affected barangay residents.
“Hindi naman puwedeng hati-hatiin dahil mahigpit ang bilin ng DILG na buo ang ibigay,” said the mayor.
