As one of the criteria for Seal of Good Local Governance under financial administration, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) hailed Bataan as 2019 Good Financial Housekeeping Passer together with its 10 municipalities namely Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Pilar, Orion, Bagac, Morong, Mariveles and lone city, Balanga.
Aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, participation and performance in LGUs, the seal of good housekeeping is focused in four (4) areas namely good planning, sound fiscal management, transparency and accountability, and valuing of performance information.
In the criteria assessment of seal of good local governance, good financial housekeeping is one of the requirements to receive said award wherein it is required that the most recent audit opinion is complied with as well as the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) of Local Budget, Finances, Bids and Public Offerings are posted on FDP portal and on 3 conspicuous places in their respective areas.
