Bataan distributes chickens to local folks

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan distributed free-range chickens to local folks at the capitol compound on Wednesday.
The Provincial Veterinary Office facilitated the distribution to beneficiaries coming from different towns of the province.
“Animal distribution is a continuing program of Gov. Abet Garcia to provide livelihood”, said Provincial Veterinarian Albert Venturina.
He said the chickens were given by Department of Agriculture ATI Region 3.
ATI Development Management Officer Armando Lagasca said they provided 660 Hubbard chickens for Bataan beneficiaires.
He said Hubbard chicken is a good egg laying as well as meat source breed.
Each of the 55 beneficiaries got 12 chickens (10 female, 2 male).
