BAGAC, Bataan – Volunteers from local government units, environment offices, non-government organizations, and private groups in Bataan gathered along the shorelines of Bataan on Saturday to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup 2018.

The annual activity was simultaneously held all over the Philippines and many places around the world.

Bataan has been actively participating in ICC for the past two decades and has been attracting volunteers yearly, said PG ENRO Head Engr. Ubaldo who led the province-wide cleanup activity representing Gov. Abet Garcia.

“This year ICC draws about 5,000 volunteers all over the coasts of the province”, he said. Eleven out of 12 towns in the province have coastlines.

“The trash collected all over the province will be quantified. We have coordinator in each town”, he also said.
PG ENRO personnel collected at least 12 sacks of garbage along the coast of Barangay Banawang, this town. PG ENRO was the lead office of the activity.

Judith Ubaldo, wife of the PG ENRO head and an officer from Lions Club in San Fabian, Pangasinan, also joined the cleanup here.
CENRO Bagac personnel, Banawang village officials, Banawang Elementary School teachers, and 4Ps beneficiaries also participated in the ICC activity in Banawang shoreline.
