BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Association of Tourism Officers in Central Luzon (ATOCEL) held its second meeting for the year 2014 at the Bataan Tourism Center last August 15. Presided by ATOCEL Pres. Mike Palispis, Provincial Tourism Officer of Aurora and Association of Tourism Officers in the Philippines (ATOP) Vice President for Luzon, the association discussed the preparations for the upcoming North Phil Travel and Tour Expo on November 2014 and the ATOCEL Conference 2015. After the meeting, the group paid a courtesy call to Gov. Abet S. Garcia and afterwards conducted an ocular visit of The Plaza Hotel, Lou-is Ballroom and Crowne Hotel Plaza as possible venues for Bataan’s hosting of ATOCEL Conference 2015, tentatively scheduled on September to coincide with the Tourism Month Celebration. This is another opportunity to strengthen and boost the tourism industry of the Province and at the same time, give the tourism stakeholders of our neighboring provinces a chance to experience how fun it really is in Bataan.
