The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI- Bataan) recently opened its 13th Negosyo Center located at the Balanga City hall compound.
The simple formal ceremony was led by DTI Bataan Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug and the city’s local officials led by Mayor Francis Garcia.
The Negosyo Centers of DTI are now completely installed in the 11 municipalities and 1 city in the province of Bataan.
Cabahug said the Negosyo Center will capacitate micro, small and medium enterprises in developing quality products and upscaling their business.
Functions of the Negosyo Center include registration or renewal of business name, access to free trainings and seminars, market matching, product labeling, business registration assistance, business advisory services, business information and advocacy, and monitoring and evaluation of business process improvement.
Each of the 11 towns and 1 city of Bataan has a similar facility in their respective locality.
The creation of Negosyo Centers in all local government units is mandated under Republic Act 10644 otherwise known as the Go Negosyo Act, to support inclusive growth and economic development.
The establishment of NC in every locality will encourage more enterprises to register or scale up their businesses. Creating more businesses, thereby generate more employment opportunities for the people in the community.
