Bataan’s best practices impress

The Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB) warmly welcomed employees of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur led by their Human Resources Management Office Head, Ms. Cora Pineda, for their benchmarking mission last November 25.

After touring the Bunker building, the delegation proceeded to the conference room at the Provincial Governor’s Office for a presentation of the different programs, services, initiatives and best practices being implemented in the province, where it was emphasized that every program is aligned to the province’s vision that contributes to the province’s economic growth and well being of the Bataeños. Also highlighted was the performance management system that Bataan has been implementing.

Discussants were the following: Ms. Kaye Pascua – Office of the Strategy Management; Mr. Christian Cordero- Public Private Partnership Investment Center; Ms. Liz Concepcion – Public Employment Service Office; Mr. Mark Castro – Provincial Governor’s Office; and Ms. Luz Enriquez – Provincial Human Resources Management Office.

Visibly impressed, the Ilocos Sur delegation commended the different initiatives and were in awe of the remarkable success of the province. They plan to come back as they are also interested to know more about the handling of finances in the province.
