Hermosa town Mayor Jopet Inton on Valentine’s Day told 34 couples who availed of “Kasalang Bayan” (mass wedding) to practice the virtue of being patient with their partners.
“There is no such thing as a perfect relationship in marriage. But what is important is there is love. If there are some differences among your partners, be patient enough to accept realities,” Inton said. “Pero pinaka importante sa lahat ang performance ng partner niyo. If you have poor performance, that is where the problem arises,” the mayor jokingly said.
Board Member Antonio B. Roman III who was among the sponsors said love and compatibility play a vital role in a successful marriage. “Mahalaga ang pagmamahalan,” he said. Atty. Anne Adorable Inton admonished the couples to refrain from posting on Facebook family problems. “Pinaka importante sa mag-asawa ay ang respeto sa isa’t-isa. Magrespetuhan kayo,” said the “mayora.”
