Balanga Diocese Bishop Ruperto Santos urges newly-elected U.S. President Joe Biden to be protector and guardian of family regardless of color, customs and creed.
In a statement, Santos said as a Catholic, President Biden “may he pursue our teachings of respect and protection of life; responsible stewardship of the earth and promotion of peace. With this year as proclaimed by our Holy Father as year of Saint Joseph.”
Biden is the second Catholic president of the United States. The first Catholic president was then John F. Kennedy.
The Bishop said: “We pray hard and it is our ardent hope that President Biden with his administration will be safe, strong and successful in his term and tenure.
