BALANGA CITY, Bataan –The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) is holding Campus Day to bring the university top management closer to academic communities, a unique program hatched by University President Greg Rodis.
“On a particular Monday, we, the university top management and campus directors go down to a university campus, hold office there”, explained the university president. “During our stay in a campus, we try to finish all the transactions of the day. This is different when they go to our main campus to transact”, he added.
“We are able to see the actual concerns of the campus, the teachers and the students. We also see the facilities needed”, he pointed.
“The good thing about this Campus Day is that we, campus directors, see the good practices of other campuses, which we can adopt,” said Mary Ann Casupanan, Director of BPSU Balanga Campus.
“During our Campus Day, the university officials saw the facilities we needed”, said BPSU Abucay Campus Director Arturo Alegado. The BPSU campuses directors commended the Campus Day program.
The BPSU campuses are Main, Balanga, Abucay, Dinalupihan, Orani, and Bagac. The top university officials hold office at BPSU Main Campus. Aside from Rodis, university vice presidents, directors, and other officers go down during Campus Day. The program was already conduced in the Abucay, Balanga, Orani, and Dinalupihan campuses.
