Cargo vessel under quarantine in Bataan

A cargo vessel from China which arrived in Morong, last January 21 is under quarantine following orders to prohibit entry to all seaport for all maritime vessels.

Lt. Airland Lapitan, commander of Bataan Coast Guard based in Lamao, Limay, said the cargo vessel, a very large crude (VLC) tanker carrying crude oil was not allowed to enter Philippine port.
The cargo vessel with more or less 80 crew members came from China. It was not immediately known where in China the vessel came from.

Lapitan said the Coast Guard in Bataan under his command had been implementing strict compliance of Department of Health guidelines issued to all seaports in preventing the spread of 2019-nCOv.
The Coast Guard command in Bataan is required to render situation report every six hours to the mother unit, he said.
