SIX admitted patients-under-investigation (PUIs) who exhibited symptoms of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) as of March 01, 2020 in the province have all tested negative and have already been discharged, as reported by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rosanna Buccahan last Monday, March 02, 2020 during the 1st quarterly Provincial Expanded Health Board Meeting at Crown Royale Hotel.

In addition to the provincial update on COVID-19 cases, all 94 persons-under-monitoring (PUM) from GN Power, Mariveles and Balanga City have already completed their 14-day hospital and home quarantine and all tested negative.

Fear among Bataeños of COVID-19 has subsided because of the immediate action of concerned agencies and prevention with the full cooperation of Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT), schools, and private companies.

Some universities conducted lectures among their students on COVID-19, installed hand sanitizers in strategic areas in their school campus, while security guards in malls, schools and private company entrances use thermometer guns to get the body temperature of people entering their premises.
Gov. Albert S. Garcia expressed relief that Bataan remains COVID-19 free and thanked all public and private health practitioners for their full support, cooperation and immediate action.
