
BALANGA CITY — Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office 3 invites Central Luzon residents to take the first Career Service Professional and Subprofessional Paper and Pencil Tests of 2014 that is scheduled on April 6.
In a news dispatch ny Phil. Information Agency, it qouted in CSC official as saying “Exams are open to all Filipino citizens aged 18 years old and above who are of good moral character; have not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness or addiction to drugs; have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian positions in the government and have not taken the same level of CSC examination in less than three months.”
CSC Regional Director Myrna Macatangay also said
“Passers of the Bar exams and Professional Regulation Commission-administered tests as well as those who graduated with honors need not apply as they are granted with automatic eligibility.”
The examinations shall consist of the following subject areas: A) For Professional (In English and Filipino) – vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic and numerical reasoning B) For Subprofessional (In English and Filipino)- vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, spelling, clerical operations and numerical reasoning.
There will likewise be a General Information test for both professional and subprofessional which covers the following areas: a) Philippine Constitution, b) The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A.6713), c) Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and d) Environment Management and Protection.
Exams will simultaneously be conducted in over 50 venues across the archipelago including the cities of San Fernando in Pampanga, Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija and Malolos in Bulacan as well as the town of Baler in Aurora.
An applicant must obtain a passing grade of at least 80% in order to earn eligibility that is the key for a stable job in the government.
