DA awards P2.5M grant for Orani fish landing center

ORANI, Bataan – The Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) on Thursday awarded almost 2.5 million pesos grant for the building of a Community Fish Landing Center at the Orani Municipal Fish port.

The certificate of award signed by DA Sec. Proceso Alcala stated that the project will be the center for trade, skills and livelihood training for the preservation of quality of aquatic resources being produced in this town dubbed as the province’s seafood capital.

The check and certificate of award were formally received by Mayor Benjie Serrano,Jr. in a simple ceremony inside the municipal mayor’s office.

Serrano was joined by village officials and fisher folks.
